About the Role

KG Technologies is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join our growing team. This is a highly visible role responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, driving account growth, and ensuring the successful execution of customer programs.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, preferably in engineering, combined with exceptional commercial acumen and relationship management skills. This individual will serve as the primary interface for key customers, partnering closely with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer experience while identifying opportunities for long-term business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account growth plans for assigned customers.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Lead commercial discussions, pricing negotiations, and contract conversations, with executive leadership support as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, building trusted, long-term relationships.
  • Project manages customer programs from launch through production, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and customer expectations are met.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development to ensure successful program execution.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer by gathering insights into future product requirements, market trends, competitive activity, and technology roadmaps, and communicating these insights into actionable recommendations for Product Development and business strategy.
  • Partner closely with Product Development and Engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are reflected in future product roadmaps.
  • Ensure customers receive exceptional service throughout the relationship lifecycle, proactively resolving issues while driving long-term customer success and retention.
  • Provide regular account updates, sales forecasts, and growth plans to leadership.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role such as Account Management, Technical Sales, Business Development, Program Management, or Project Management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer applications and engineering concepts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple customer programs and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

 

Preferred

  • Experience in electronic manufacturing services (EMS), electromechanical manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Experience managing complex customer accounts and cross-functional project teams.
  • Knowledge of product development and new product introduction (NPI) processes.
